Rosemont hotel & Residence, the first hotel to contain a tropical rainforest at Dubai
The first hotel to contain a tropical rainforest in its interior
In recent years, Dubai has emerged as a modern nucleus of innovation and design. Futuristic buildings branch out from the center of the city, stretching up towards the clouds and making Dubai incomparable and one-of-a-kind.
Scheduled to open in 2018 and now under construction, the Rosemont Hotel & Residences boast two 47-floor towers designed by the Zas Architects in Dubai.
Unbridled luxury trough the streets of Dubai
The project distinguishes itself as the first hotel to contain a tropical rainforest in its interior, expanding horizontally through a surface area of 7,000 m 2 and vertically the height of five stories.
Life size dinosaurs will pop out through the dense jungle and a sensor will set off rain showers that simulate a Jurassic ecosystem. Though guests will not literally get wet, they will feel immersed in downpours from thousands of years ago, with sound effects and clouds of water vapor that mist from the ground below. Inside the rainforest guests might happen upon a creek that cuts through the wildlife and an enormous, private artificial beach. A rooftop infinity pool shows off the breathtaking panorama that only Dubai could offer.
Architecturally, the structure is composed of an expansive base called a “podium” that will house the rainforest. The two towers develop vertically from the base, one which holds a hotel with 450 luxury rooms and the other which accommodates 280 private residences, a spa, restaurants and recreation rooms.
The Rosemont Hotel & Residences will give the unprecedented, unforgettable experience of entering a rainforest, surrounding oneself with extravagantly exotic plants typical of the Amazon, while actually visiting a city located in the middle of the desert.
