MATERIALS AND FINISHES
Explore the Profilitec range of materials and finishes designed to ensure high performance and aesthetics suited to the context of use: each environment, whether a spa, an industrial kitchen or a modern living area, requires specific properties of resistance to corrosion, wear and chemical agents.
MATERIALS: THE STARTING POINT FOR EXCELLENT FINAL QUALITY
Stainless Steel
Maximum resistance to corrosion, impact and chemical agents
Stainless steel is the ideal choice for environments subject to strong chemical or hygienic stress, being particularly resistant to impact and unaffected by most cleaning products.
Applications: Industrial kitchens, hospitals, swimming pools and outdoor areas (especially with AISI 316 version).
Aluminium
Versatility and Design
The most versatile material in the Profilitec range. Lightweight yet structurally solid, it lends itself to multiple surface treatments. Thanks to this characteristic, it is ideal for transitions, separation joints and decorative profiles. Aluminium allows maximum customisation of the installation, being available in a wide range of finishes.
Brass
The charm of tradition
Brass is the traditional material for tile installation, appreciated for its incredible mechanical resistance.
Brass has excellent resistance to foot traffic and heavy loads. Over time it can develop a natural patina that gives a "lived-in" and elegant appearance, or it can be polished to maintain its original brightness.
Synthetic Resin
Practicality and lightness
Profiles in plastic material are made of impact-resistant vinyl resins and resistant to UV rays.
Synthetic resin represents a flexible solution ideal for residential environments or bathroom and kitchen corners where extreme chemical resistance is not required.
FINISHES, A COMPLETE RANGE FOR INFINITE COLOUR COMBINATIONS
Profilitec offers a wide range of finishes, designed to provide infinite colour combinations with the most commonly used ceramic tiles.
All profiles, regardless of material, undergo high-quality finishing processes, aimed at making colours durable over time and resistant to wear.
Profilitec aluminium is treated to enhance its resistance properties and chromatic performance through two main processes:
Anodised Aluminium
The anodising process creates a protective oxide layer integrated into the metal.
- Resistance: greater surface hardness and protection against corrosion;
- Aesthetics: metallic finishes (silver, gold, bronze, titanium) with brushed, polished or glossy effects that maintain the "material" feel of aluminium.
Powder-Coated Aluminium
Powder coating allows exploration of an almost infinite colour palette.
- Protection: the polyester coating protects the profile from atmospheric agents and UV rays;
- Versatility: perfect for tone-on-tone matching with grout joints or for creating bold contrasts with modern large-format tiles.
MATCH LINE
The material texture of grout for maximum visual harmony
MATCH LINE was created to offer an integrated aesthetic and technical solution, where profile, tile and grout interact in perfect harmony.
This line is inspired by modern installation techniques in which coloured grouting becomes part of the aesthetic design:
the range reproduces colours and textures typical of grout, creating visual and tactile continuity.
The selection of 12 shades is designed to match the most common and widely used tile grout colours:
- neutrals: Continuous Beige, Harmony Beige, Fusion Beige, Bond Beige;
- warm tones: Harmony Red, Union Hazelnut, Natural Hazelnut, Melody Brown;
- cool tones: Reflection White, Meeting Gray, Balance Gray, Shaded Gray.
DESERT LINE
The essence of earth in tile trim profiles
DESERT LINE, the collection of finishes for tile trim profiles inspired by the hues of 8 deserts from around the world, was created to harmonize the transition between material and colour.
No longer a simple edge trim element, but a distinctive feature that celebrates the primordial beauty of the planet's most iconic landscapes.
The Desert Line palette is a sensory exploration that traverses the world's deserts.
The 8 hues have been studied to offer impeccable visual continuity with the latest trends in the ceramic world, from stone-effect porcelain stoneware to textured surfaces that evoke earth and sand.
From the purity of light to the depth of rock, here is the chromatic scale:
- White Arctic: the absolute purity of frozen expanses, for sharp contrasts or cool tone-on-tone schemes;
- Patagonia: a mineral and sophisticated pearl grey, evoking the meeting of ice and rock;
- Namib: an ethereal and luminous shade like dunes at dawn;
- Yuma: a warm and welcoming beige, ideal for natural settings;
- Sahara: the perfect balance of classic golden sand colour;
- Kalahari: a more intense earth tone, rich in character and warmth;
- Gobi: a sophisticated grey-brown, inspired by the rocks of Asian highlands;
- Atacama: the depth of dark brown, to emphasize volumes and geometries with rigorous elegance.
MODERN LINE
Industrial aesthetics for a design with strong character
MODERN LINE was created to meet the most current trends in contemporary architecture, where the profile becomes a structural element of the visual language.
This line draws inspiration from the raw and authentic materials of industrial style: the rigour of concrete, the oxidised warmth of corten and the minimal elegance of burnished metals.
The finishes are designed to integrate with the most commonly used ceramic tiles for creating modern and industrial environments, leaving ample room for the creation of pleasant combinations and sharp contrasts.
The selection of 9 matt and textured Modern Line shades is designed to dress spaces with a metropolitan and refined look and is grouped into:
- essential colours: Antique White, Pastel Grey, Concrete Grey;
- natural colours: Khaki, Taupe, Corten;
- deep colours: Dark Brown, Micaceous Grey, Matt Black.
HIGH-PERFORMANCE POWDER COATING
The finishes of the profiles in the Desert, Match and Modern lines represent not only aesthetics, but also high surface engineering.
The finish is achieved through a high-quality powder coating process, which gives the metal superior characteristics:
