The advice is to use a profile that is the same height as the thickness of the tile. As the profile has perforated sections, it is dipped into the adhesive without adding any thickness beneath the tile. Particularly with Bordertec drip-edge profiles, it is important – if in doubt – to ensure that the profile is flush with, or possibly slightly lower than, the floor level. This prevents water from pooling and ensures it drains away as intended. Interested in other case studies? Click here

Almost all our profiles are 2.7m in length. This length offers several advantages, for example when our profiles are used on sites with spaces higher than 2.5m, you can use a single profile without having to add vertical pieces.

The Clip System is a kit composed of a cove-shaped profile Coflex CR base module and Kerajolly KJ flanges, which must be ordered separately. The flanges are ordered based on the thickness of the tile. The thickness of the Kerajolly KJ profile should be 2 mm thinner than the tile thickness, given that when the KJ is inserted into the track of the Coflex CR it takes up 2 mm. Example: the tile on the wall covering is 8mm thick and that on the floor covering is 10mm: Each CR module will contain a 6mm KJ for the wall and an 8mm KJ for the floor.
